US Central America left Havana at nine o'clock on the morning of the 8th

The Supposed Loss
The following were known to have been on board the Central America at the time she went down, and are supposed to be lost.

McNeal, Mr. Hardware merchant, San Francisco

Moseley, Mr, ?  ,intended to go to Arkansas
McClough or McClew Mr. believed to be from Pennsylvania, Previous to the transfer of the passengers to the brig, Mr McClough gave to a Mrs Alloe Lockwood $3000 in gold with a request that she forward it to his mother, whose address he gave her

Murch, Stephen of Portland, Me, about 30 years of age, late of Massachusetts Flats near Sacramento, in business with his brother is a blacksmith and shoe maker. He had sold out his business and having his mother wind up his  affairs and forward the proceeds home to Portland, when he had a wife and two children, in the expectation of sharing the fruits of his life in California

A Scotchman,  name unknown, who was returning to New York, having been sailing Master on board a United States surveying schooner on the Pacific station.
Colored man ( name not ascertained) seaman, one of the crew of the bark Vespucues, wrecked while on her way from New York to Aspinwall, with coal; the American Consul was sending them and four others back to this City, together with Sarra and Green, before named
